Seattle Personal Injury and Employment Attorney Alexandra Filutowski
As a Puget Sound native, Ms. Filutowski has been committed to representing individuals throughout Washington State in personal injury, employment and landlord tenant claims for the past five years. In addition to bringing justice to her clients, Ms. Filutowski lectures on law at her alma mater, the University of Washington, and is an active member of the Puget Sound community.
Prior to opening The Filutowski Law Firm, PLLC, Ms. Filutowski worked for prominent Seattle litigation firms, representing seriously injured individuals against insurance companies. She has a track record of recovering over $5.0 million dollars for her clients through negotiations, arbitrations, mediations and trial.
Background
In pursuit of her passion for achieving civil justice, while in law school, Ms. Filutowski helped pioneer the nation’s leading academic center on business ethics and corporate governance, The Center on Corporations, Law & Society at Seattle University School of Law. Ms. Filutowski was instrumental in increasing the practice of corporate sustainability and responsibility in the workplace and community. As a law student, Ms. Filutowski also worked on some of the more prominent cases in human rights, including Corrie v. Caterpillar, which alleged the corporate aiding and abetting of human rights violations under the Alien Tort Claims Act.
In 2005, Ms. Filutowski studied alternative dispute resolution among Harvard Business School faculty and European lawyers at the University of Rome in Rome, Italy, and assisted in the negotiation of international sales contracts at General Electric Oil & Gas in Florence, Italy.
Most recently, Ms. Filutowski taught U.S Tort Law From A Litigator’s Perspective and Moot Court at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. She also was an invited speaker at the Pan European Organization of Personal Injury Lawyers (PEOPIL) in Krakow and the International Law Practice Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Seminar at the American Association for Justice’s Annual Convention in New York City in July 2011.

Volunteer Work
For several years Ms. Filutowski volunteered with the YMCA of Greater Seattle. She also served on the World Affairs Council, Young Professionals International Network Board and volunteered with the King County Bar Association Bilingual Spanish Legal Clinic, helping Spanish speakers access legal assistance in civil and family law matters.
