Wrongful Death Suit Against Baby Hammock Manufacturer

Parents, be cautious with your bed purchase for your infant.  An Oregon father is suing Amby Baby for the suffocation of his infant in an Amby Baby Motion Bed.  The lawsuit alleges defective manufacturing and design of the hammock, which when rocking back and forth, caused the infant to wedge into the hammock, face down, and suffocate.  The father is seeking $5 million for the loss of his 5-month old son.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled 24,000 of these hammocks following notice of the Oregon and a Georgia infant’s death.
