
The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) is questioning the approval of Menaflex, a patch for the knee manufactured by ReGen Biologics. Menaflex is marketed to help repair a torn meniscus. Unfortunately, there are reports that the patch is ineffective, necessitating a second surgery.


The Menaflex patch is surgically installed at the lateral or medial meniscus to “guide” new tissue growth.
